Creating opportunity, strengthening representation, and helping shape a stronger future for women in Manitoba's trade contracting industry.

The Women in Manitoba Trade Contracting (WiMTC) Advisory Council works to strengthen the visibility, participation, and representation of women in Manitoba's trade contracting industry. Normalize women in the trades.

The Council brings people together, creates opportunities, and helps advance initiatives that support recruitment, retention, workforce development, and greater participation across the industry.

The Council works to:

• Support workforce development by creating opportunities for current and future women in trade contracting.
• Build awareness and visibility by representing WiMTC at community and partner events and highlighting the opportunities available across the industry.
• Strengthen recruitment and retention by identifying and advancing initiatives that help attract, support, and retain women in trade contracting.
• Work with industry partners to strengthen the representation and participation of women within their workforces.
• Promote trade contracting as a career of choice by showcasing the skills, opportunities, technology, leadership, and career pathways available across the industry.
• Increase participation and leadership by encouraging greater engagement of women in association programs, initiatives, committees, councils, and boards.

The goal is progress that lasts, building stronger participation, stronger representation, and greater recognition for women who are helping shape the future of Manitoba's trade contracting industry.
