WiMTC Guiding Purpose - Develop strategies that normalize WiMTC and drive systemic change.

The Women in Manitoba Trade Contracting (WiMTC) Advisory Council is dedicated to fostering the normalization of the WiMTC demographic within Manitoba's trade contracting industry. The Council recognizes that meaningful progress requires action at both grassroots and systemic levels. The Council works to:

  • Provide workforce development programs for current and future WiMTC demographic.
  • Represent WiMTC at community and partner events to promote opportunities and raise awareness for women in trade contracting.
  • Explore retention and recruitment initiatives.
  • Partner with industry members to enhance WiMTC representation in their workforce.
  • Promote the industry as a preferred career choice.
  • Increase engagement of WiMTC in association programs, initiatives, committees, councils, and boards.
